The misconception about legal counsel’s fees and charges often forces people who have a legal problem to decide not to use law firm services and to try to solve the problem themselves. However, such conduct often brings negative results (e.g. the case is lost), which could entail considerable costs that usually surpass legal office charges several times. Whereas, action taken by a law firm to solve the problem usually makes it possible to avoid negative consequences and leads to achieving a resolution beneficial for the client. Therefore, your legal problem should be left to a professional and the charges of the law firm should not be treated as an unnecessary expenditure.

The standard procedure for new cases and establishing the fees for our law firm:

First contact – setting an appointment date and time by phone with a lawyer who specialises in the given area of law and providing information on approximate cost of the legal assistance.

Cost: free.

Meeting – conversation during which the lawyer:

• will investigate your problem and provide legal advice,
• will evaluate the legitimacy of further proceedings carried out by our law firm or present the possibility of solving the problem by yourself,
• will provide the financial conditions of further proceedings conducted by our law firm.

Cost: usually about 100 PLN, depending on the complexity of the problem and the duration of the meeting. The approximate cost will be provided to you when making an appointment with our lawyer.

Conducting a case – comprehensive representation by our law firm in further stages of the case.

Cost: individual. The usual ways of establishing and settling fees and charges for conducting a case are:

• Flat-rate – the rate for comprehensive handling of the case – fixed, regardless of time spend on the case by our law firm,
• Hourly rate – fee for each hour worked by our lawyer – the final charge is established after the case is closed as the product of the number of hours and the hour rate established at the first meeting.
